PROJECT OVERVIEW

  • Construct Bids secured the contract to design and install the infrastructure for a new high-level fire suppression system requiring specialist scaffolding and access to protect a large Merseyside paper recycling facility from fire. Our design ensured that the plant continued to operate without any shut-down requirements.
  • Replacement of a partially fire-damaged roof while maintaining our client’s operations.
  • Value £700K.

PROJECT COMPRISES OF

  • Specialist scaffold and access to the warehouse roof space.
  • Ground investigations included Unexploded Ground Ordinance surveys at the site.
  • Driven steel piles and concrete foundation slab to support an 800,000 ltr fire water tank.
  • Management of the fire suppression tank and sprinkler system installation.
  • Designing and installing the necessary electrical power to run the fire suppression system.
  • Site modelling and installation of flood retention barriers to contain fire water if required and prevent pollution of land and sewers.
